Receipts & expenses

Keep the receipt.
Keep the reason, too.

  1. Bring your receipts together Collect receipt photos and PDFs in one place instead of leaving them scattered across your camera roll and inbox.
  2. Check the record Review the merchant, date, amount, and category. Add a note about the business purpose while you remember it.
  3. Return to the source Keep the source document available alongside the expense, so you can check the details later.
An everyday example

A supply run you can still explain months later.

You buy materials for a client job. Keep the receipt, record the expense, and add the project name to your notes. During your weekly review, check that the receipt and the recorded amount agree. Flag anything you cannot explain yet.

Illustrative workflow. No customer data shown.

A few useful answers

Before you start.

Does keeping a receipt make an expense deductible?

No. A saved receipt supports your records; it does not establish tax eligibility. Review your circumstances with a qualified professional.

Can I use a PDF as well as a photo?

The current App Store description includes receipt photos and PDFs. Review the imported information before treating it as a completed record.
